Traditional Dance Group on Yorta Yorta Country

Who are we

We are a young dance group on a journey to reconnect with and share our culture through dance. Established by Yorta Yorta woman, Nessie Harbrow in 2022, Galnya Yenbena, delivers cultural workshops and dance performances on Yorta Yorta Country.

Our dance group operates as a small business which means we are continuously learning and developing our business skills as we grow and expand.

We are grateful for all the support we have received from both Mob and Ally's in getting to where we are today. Through the opportunity to share our culture we aim to make our ancestors proud.

Workshops

Galnya Yenbena can deliver tailored workshops for schools, events and businesses. Workshops may include skirt or necklace making, dance lessons, cultural sharing and artifact displays. Sessions can run for between 1-2 hours.

Dance Performance

Galnya Yenbena regularly performs at events such as conferences, launches, assemblies, festivals, ceremonies and more. We offer a range of dances that reflect the seasons, our traditions and our culture and we are happy to discuss which dance would best suit your event.
